Hello all -
Yesterday many of the 40 patients went home from the hospital. Their appreciation and gratitude was truly touching. For me, this has been a fantastic reminder of why I decided to practice medicine - taking care of advanced disease in wonderful patients while working with a team of skilled and dedicated individuals committed to one common goal.
This is the last day of our trip. I believe we have done a great thing for the forty patients we treated and, just as profoundly, they have touched each of us.
